Fresno Residents Council

“We cannot achieve the changes we seek in the world alone. We have to build trusting relationships with others who can help us create the world we seek.” -

Mike Espinoza
Executive Director
The Children's Movement of Fresno

As part of an exciting expansion The Children's Movement is creating a structure for community engagement to support a policy agenda: The Fresno Residents Council.

In a short period of time, our 60 member Residents Council has been recruited and launched. The Residents Council will provide lived experience, ideas and solutions working together with the Fresno C2C Partnership Table to create a shared policy agenda.

Thirteen Anchor Community Based Organizations (CBOs) were selected to recruit residents ensuring that the overall composition would reflect the diversity of Fresno County. Racial, ethnic, age and geographic diversity were all prioritized along with a foundational commitment to social and economic justice.
